We had to take the car in for a service over the bridge, so we took the courtesy car over to Musselburgh, seeing as we were on the right side of the Firth.
The Lagoons were pretty quiet, with nothing unusual. There were as usual plenty of Lapwings about,
Wigeon,a solitary Curlew, quite a few Dunlin about as well.
In addition there were Redshank, Teal and Oystercatchers. We added Goldeneye on the boating lake and down on the Esk we picked up a male Goosander. Of course all the regular gulls were about and Canada Geese by the river.
Along the front at Fisherrow the tide was well out but we added Turnstone and Godwit to our day list. We then took a drive up to Aberlady via Prestonpans, but only added Shelduck and Eider on the way.
