River Weaver

Sunday saw us head north to spend a night at Jo's with a view to popping up to Southport and visit RSPB Marshside on Monday. Before that though we went for a walk along the river Weaver, nothing out of the ordinary other than this hybrid duck:
and a very yellow duckling:
For the 'ahhh' factor there was a family of Canada Geese:

As we walked on down the river a Buzzard gave us a reasonable close up fly by:

The usual suspects were about, Great Crested Grebe, tending the nest:

Grey Heron looking for a meal in the lock:
and Pied Wagtail waggling it about:

So a pleasant walk and with the species seen in Jo's garden we totaled 29, so not too bad!
